Truth Beyond Borders - Our Commitment to Independent Journalism
Building bridges between Kazakhstan and the world through independent journalism
Qazaq Voice International was established in 2018 with a clear mission: to provide high-quality, independent English-language journalism covering Kazakhstan and Central Asia for global audiences.
In an era of rapid information flow and evolving media landscapes, we recognized the need for a trusted, unbiased source of news and analysis from this strategically important region.
Our founders, a diverse group of experienced journalists and media professionals from Kazakhstan and abroad, shared a common vision: to create a platform that bridges linguistic and cultural divides while maintaining the highest standards of journalistic integrity.
What drives us every day
To deliver accurate, balanced, and independent English-language news and analysis from Kazakhstan and Central Asia, serving as a reliable bridge between the region and global audiences.
We strive to inform, educate, and engage readers with stories that matter, while fostering understanding and dialogue across cultures and borders.
We believe in open, honest journalism. Our reporting methods, sources (when appropriate), and editorial processes are transparent. We correct errors promptly and acknowledge our mistakes.
Every fact we publish undergoes rigorous verification. We prioritize getting the story right over getting it first, and we maintain strict fact-checking protocols across all our content.
Our editorial decisions are made free from political, commercial, or any other external influence. We maintain a strict firewall between our editorial operations and business functions.
We embrace diverse perspectives and voices. Our team represents various backgrounds, and we actively seek out underrepresented viewpoints in our coverage.
We hold power to account and expect the same of ourselves. Our readers can contact us with concerns, corrections, or feedback, and we take all such communications seriously.
How we maintain our journalistic integrity
Qazaq Voice International operates as an independent media organization. Our funding comes from a combination of:
We maintain a strict separation between our editorial operations and business/funding functions. No advertiser, donor, or business partner has any influence over our editorial decisions, story selection, or content.
All members of our editorial team are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest. We do not accept gifts, payments, or favors that could compromise our objectivity. When covering stories where potential conflicts exist, we disclose these to our readers.
When we make mistakes, we correct them promptly and transparently. Significant corrections are noted at the top of articles. Readers can report concerns to corrections@qazaqvoice.kz.
